I saw the walkers this morning in Carson City. I did not know who they were or what they were doing. I said, "I hope I find out what this is." Later in the day your link was sent to me at random by a friend. I think you must carry a lot of wonderful energy with you for such good fortune to surround you. Much fortune to the walk.

The book is only 88 pages long and reads real easy, just like she Grandma Gordon is there waiting to talk to you about something after a days walk.
She told me this morning she had written up special messages for the Walkers, and was working hard to get them typed up and out on the Longest Walk Forum for the Walkers.
Well Edna told me I had permission to put her words on Longest Walk website and I know she wants to be speaking to you now, so here is Grandma Edna Gordon, speaking these words to you from her poem
Hawk Trail of Wisdom"
Yesterday
I was a raging Hawk,
swaying
on life's pathway,
half-knowing,
night from day.
Yet thinking
I knew it all, dwelling,
on my own
beck and call.
Today
I calmly faced the Hawk
inside myself,
who fl1es
within my inner sole,
and leads me to
the heights of possibility
Tomorrow,
I pray, this Hawk
shall remain
steady,
as a gentle breeze,
peaceful,
as the waves
of the sea
Grateful, to walk
beside others
as one.
'neath the stars,
the moon
and the sun.
Please let me know a Name, address, zip where I may mail Grandmother Edna's via the Postal Service where one could pick it up say by Wednesday or Thursday of next week.
The Carson Powwow sounds like great fun, hope everyone in the Sacramento area and even San Francisco know that it is only a hop, sick and a jump and you will be in Carson, Nevada. Of course if you live in the Biggest Little City of Reno it is even closer.
Carson is really a good location because lots of folks not too too far from the good folks in Dresslerville, and the people from Walker River, or the Stewart Community or the well known Steward Indian School
It's quite bit further to the folks at the Walker River Reservation. Wovoka, is buried in Schurz on the Walker River Reservation. That would be bit of a jog of the Easterly walk, but that is certainly a Sacred site that is well respected across Indian Country.
Let's see Carson is home to the Washoe Tribe, here is their website http://www.washoetribe.us/
See the wikipedia page for information about Wovoka and other links for the Paiute. Those are just two of the different tribes in the area.
