My name is Wade Rumble . I'm a walker and volunteer. I would like to say hello to my Mother Kathy Spica. I love you Mom. To all my family thanks for all your blessings I can feel it in my heart every moment. This walk has become my life and the walkers have become my family. Thanks to the students at DQ. I have not ever seen such a compassionate group of young people in my life. They welcomed us all with open arms and shared everything they could. Much respect, Ho! There will be more time for me to write more later. At this time I am very busy with helping at camp and walking. All my relations. I love you all and Everything is All Good.!!!!! Peace. Blessed Love From Three Rivers Lodge, Stockton California. Wade Rumble 2-14-08 Comments (7)

So glad to hear that you are doing well!
Soooo stoked to see that so many have joined the walk and I sent in some donation love this morning to help with the cause and overflow. We miss you around here, but I am so proud of you, think this is such a good thing you are doing and have moments that I really wish I could be there too! Thanks for walking for all of us! Take good care of yourself and just keep spreading the love! xoxo Hi Wade!

Thank you so much for those words! I know in my heart but it is great to hear it voiced as well. You are an amazing man and have started on a journey which is going to give you so many opportunites; I would give anything to be able to walk along side of you but will share the journey through your eyes and voice. I look forward to the details of your itinerary and will try to connect asap for a period of time. Enjoy the weather you have, we are under 20-25 foot snow drifts and it is blowing! As you get going, let me know what you need, what your fellow walkers need, etc and I will do what I can to help. I see your dad is joining you for a period of walking - that is wonderful and I hope the two of you have a great experience together. If you get a chance, purchase a disposable camera and take some shots along the way then send it to me for processing and posting...make sure some include you! The journey is now on...good luck, safe walking, soak it all in and share your life - you have a great one to share. In many ways you are the parent now, you are guiding me and holding my hand. I love you Waders, Mom

sorry we got cut off last night; hope you get this message. I am ok. I promise. I would let you know if otherwise. Have faith in what you are doing and in the strength of prayer. I am looking forward to seeing you along the way. I hold you tight in my heart and know that your ongoing preserverance and determination will also give me the courage to do the same. We are survivors. I love you, Mom

Mom students/stewards written by johnthebaker, April 13, 2008
The students /stewards put forth a great effort to host the walk with next to zero financial resources, they all volunteered and did whatever nessisary to make the walkers comfortable for the long journey ahead.
Several students/stewards stayed behind because of the difficulties with the administration at DQ and for fears that the admin would try to lock down the school and remove the stewards from the land. In fact the administration did call in the Yolo County sherrifs and had all the stewards/students arrested 22 arrests in all. Very disturbing but they are now in court and battling to save the school and keep the land. The Students/Stewards are committed to revitalizing the school and ending the cycles of corruption that have sent the schools focus off track and will preserve the sacred site known as DQ University HOME OF THE LONGEST WALK !
